Strong females are the foundation of virtually every successful kennel and their quality should not be comprised. However a female can only have a limited amount of offspring in her lifetime. In Germany, according to the SV rule,s each German Shepherd stud dog is allowed to have a maximum of 90 breedings per year (60 German / 30 foreign). An average German Shepherd litter size is usually around 5 to 6 puppies. When you consider this, a male can sire about 500 puppies a year.

| This is why it makes perfect sense that only the best males should be allowed to breed. Thus, passing their positive traits on to future generations. When considering a stud, a responsible breeder should only consider the best lines. In addition, for any responsible and successful breeder the only goal is to enhance the quality of puppies produced. This is why we demand excellence in any males utilized in our breeding program. When we were looking for a stud, we sought to find a male with strong type, courage and attitude, great structure and movement, large bone and excellent pigment. These qualities are essential to any breeding program that strives for excellence. In choosing our male, Olympus Vom Haus Miller, we were able to find a male that possessed these traits as well as a balanced temperament and a loving character. He is a dedicated and loyal friend that we feel honored to have in our family. His genetic make-up is noted for his temperament and workability. It is being passed on to his offspring. Olympus is BH, SchH1 and is currently working towards additional Schutzhund titles. He is available at stud to approved females only. |
